Genre: Romance

Storyline:

The punchline of the movie says, "She is Married, She is lonely, She is having an affair". I guess this sums up the entire story. Now, one would be curious to ask, where the skin-show is acutally relevant. So, let me explain more.

Simran (Mallika Sherawat) is caught by the police allegedly for the murder of Sunny (Emraan Hashmi). Simran then starts her version of the story. Simran is actually the second wife of Sudhir (Ashmit Patel) who has actually married him to do good to the life of her sister's child. Her sister is the dead first wife of Sudhir. But, Simran could never enjoy her marital pleasures.

One day, she meets her ex-lover during her college days, Sunny, who rekindles her interest and comfortably has an affair with her. This is a welcome break for desperate Simran. Gradually, she finds herself trapped in a situation where Sudhir starts suspecting the moves of Simran. He hires a private detective to confirm the same. Meanwhile Simran discovers that Sunny is a person who is a flirt and that he had never loved her in the way that she had been thinking.

So, she angrily breaks into his apartment and stabs him. Meanwhile, Sudhir has been following her all along. After she leaves Sunny's apartment, Sudhir, who has recently started loving his wife, chips in to the scene and delivers fatal blows to Sunny. He then buries sunny. But sunny is not dead so easily. With the help of his girl/his accomplice, he comes out and black-mails Sudhir and Simran.

The movie ends in an all's well that ends well type of scenrio. The villain gets killed by the cop, amidst rain. And they lived happily ever after.

Comment:

The story line is inspired by Adrian Lyne's UNFAITHFUL (2002) starring Richard Gere, Diane Lane, Oliver Martinez, with sufficient changes in the story to suit Indian Conditions. The performances are quite average and bearable. Mallika Sherawat has created new standards for skin show in Bollywood with this movie.

The Direction and Music have been given their due. The songs 'Kaho na Kaho' and 'Bheege Hont' would make the song worthy enough to have it as an mp3 in your collection. In general, the movie is watchable and makes a good passtime.

Warning: Do not go to this movie with your parents.
